Scholarship

At Vidya Niketan Institute of Management and Computer Applications, we are committed to making high-quality postgraduate education accessible to deserving, ambitious, and meritorious students. The institute provides structured guidance and support to help enrolled MBA and MCA candidates avail various Government of Maharashtra Scholarships, Freeships, and Financial Assistance Schemes, subject to statutory eligibility criteria and prevailing state regulations.

Government financial assistance is available for eligible candidates admitted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP), based on category norms, annual family income thresholds, and state social welfare directives. Our dedicated Student Facilitation & Scholarship Cell assists candidates through every stage of the MahaDBT application lifecycle—providing clarity on eligibility prerequisites, documentation compliances, online portal submissions, and university verification routines.

Important Guidelines

  • All scholarship and freeship schemes are governed by the respective departments of the Government of Maharashtra and the Central Government.

  • Concessions are admissible only for candidates admitted through the state Centralized Admission Process (CAP); Institutional Quota / Management Quota admissions are generally not eligible for state-sponsored fee waivers.

  • Candidates must maintain an active Aadhaar-seeded bank account to receive direct benefit transfers (DBT).

  • Eligibility criteria, income ceilings, required documentation, and submission deadlines are subject to real-time notifications issued by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and MahaDBT. Students should consult the institute’s Scholarship Helpdesk for current academic session updates.
